Ingredients
-
1 lb Broken Arrow Ranch venison chili meat
-
2 tsp cooking oil
-
½ cup onions, chopped
-
4 oz tomato sauce
-
2 cups water
-
1 tsp cumin
-
3 Tbsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
-
1 tsp paprika
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp red pepper
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
-
1 Tbsp corn starch
Directions
Add the venison and onion to the oil, cooking over medium heat until venison is brown.
Add the remaining ingredients, cover, and simmer about two hours or until the meat is tender. This will vary with heat – long and slow is better. Stir occasionally while cooking.
Correct seasonings to taste. Thicken with one tablespoon of corn starch mixed with two tablespoons of warm water, if desired.
