Iron Chef America Battle: Venison (Nov 2006)

Cat Cora vs. Joey Campanaro

November 5th, 2006 - 8pm (CST)

Food Network

Axis Venison supplied by Broken Arrow Ranch

On November 5th Chef Joey Campanaro from New York's The Little Owl restaurant challenged Iron Chef Cat Cora. The featured ingredient was axis venison supplied by Broken Arrow Ranch. Chef Campanaro chose to battle Iron Chef Cora because of their similar Mediterranean cooking style. Despite this shared culinary influence they developed menus that were very different - though, both looked equally appetizing. Chef Campanaro's preperations were awarded the highest point total for Originality, but Iron Chef Cora's top scores for Flavor made her the battle venison winner.

Congratulations to Iron Chef Cat Cora for a well earned victory. And, congratulations to Chef Joey Campanaro for developing some very innovative venison dishes. We wish you success at your new restaurant, The Little Owl.
